TAP Air Portugal Airlines, or informally TAP Portugal, is the national airline of Portugal, based at Lisbon Portela Airport. The airline was formed in 1945 and began operations as Transportes Aéreos Portugueses a year later in 1946. The airline now flies 2,000 flights per week to 88 destinations in 38 countries worldwide. Aegean Airlines, airBaltic, Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, Cabo Verde Airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Avianca, LOT Polish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines, Ukraine International, and United Airlines are among the carriers with which TAP has codeshare agreements.

Classes of Travel

Economy

Economy Class is one of the airline's two cabin class options. Passengers in Economy can choose from a number of different prices. These rates will include increased luggage allowance, free cancellations, and the opportunity to pre-select seats. However, regardless of the ticket selected, the in-flight experience in Economy stays the same.

Business Class

TAP Portugal's Business Class, often known as 'Executive Class,' is the airline's most opulent cabin. In compared to Economy Class, it provides better comfort, more facilities, and a higher level of service.

Online Check-In

Carry-On Luggage:

When the dimensions are combined, hand baggage for TAP Air Portugal flights must be no larger than 115cm. Passengers travelling in Economy Class are permitted one carry-on bag weighing no more than 8kg. Furthermore, Economy Class travellers are permitted one personal item weighing no more than 2kg. When travelling in Executive Class, travellers are allowed two pieces of carry-on luggage, each weighing no more than eight kilogrammes. In addition, Executive Class passengers are permitted one personal item weighing no more than 2kg.
